Be a Guardian Angel to your children and the children in your community. Protect them against the evil that preys on their innocence.
In lieu of recent abductions that have taken place throughout the United States, please take some time to talk with your children (regardless of their age) about how to prevent being abducted or becoming a victim of some other type of child exploitation. Many abductors know the child or have met the child before attempting to take them. Make sure your child knows to trust his/her instincts about people, and that bad people are not determined by appearance but by actions.
Report unusual people who seem to just "be" where children are for no apparent reason.
Follow internet safety rules with your child, make sure they are not giving personal information on-line or in person to people who do not need it.
Let your child know they he/she should report to you or some other trusted adult any situations that he/she feels uncomfortable with or individuals who cause them to feel uncomfortable.
