Summer months are the deadliest time for teens, particularly teen drivers.
"The summer months are when young drivers are at most risk, and with events such as graduation and prom in the coming weeks, it's vital for teens and their parents to be aware of the dangers," said George Ruebenson, president of Allstate Protection, Allstate Insurance Company.*
Set boundaries for your teens, just because they don't have to go to school the next day doesn't mean they should stay out late at night. Set clear rules about alcohol, drugs, seat belts, cell phone usage and curfews particularly where driving is concerned. Keep them safe so that their dreams can be fulfilled!

Botetourt County Schools are fortunate to have School Resource Officers in the county's middle and high schools. These officers are there as a "resource" to students, parents and teachers for issues of safety, law enforcement, and education. When law violations occur, an officer is on the premises to take care of a situation quickly so that students and teachers may return to their primary focus...education!
